Mrs. Moon-Galloway
Mrs. Moon-Galloway
Mrs. Moon-Galloway is originally from Monterey County, California, but has considered Greensboro to be their home for the past 3 years. Mrs. Moon plays quite a few instruments but her main 2 are piano and clarinet. They started piano at the age of 4, and clarinet at the age of 8, and have been immersed in the instrumental world ever since. Her degrees come from Berea College in Kentucky (Music/Liberal Arts B.A. ‘18) and from UNCG (Music Education B.M. -Instrumental ‘24).
Mrs. Moon completed her student teaching practicum with Mrs. Tammy White here at Kiser Middle in the Spring of 2024, and she is looking forward to being back with the Kiser Middle bands for her 6th year of teaching middle school music! When they are not in the bandroom (or practice room!), Mrs. Moon likes hiking, baking, gaming, and spending time with her spouse, and their cat, Aang (yes, the Avatar).
“Teaching music is not my main purpose. I want to make good citizens. If children hear fine music, and learn to play it, they develop sensitivity, discipline and endurance. They get, a beautiful heart.” ― Shinichi Suzuki
